Numantec at the 2nd SIAV National Congress in Vicenza

Numantec al II Congresso Nazionale SIAV

On 15 and 16 October 2026, Numantec will attend the 2nd SIAV National Congress – Italian Society for Vascular Access – in Vicenza, where it will have a dedicated exhibition space showcasing its vascular access solutions.

The two-day event will bring together healthcare professionals for discussion and knowledge sharing around this year’s theme, “Beyond the Device: The New Era of Vascular Access Between Science, Organisation and Care.” The Congress will explore vascular access management from a range of perspectives, including device selection, insertion techniques, safety, training, team organisation and emerging care settings.

Two Days Dedicated to the Evolution of Vascular Access

The SIAV Congress programme will address some of the key topics shaping the evolution of vascular access, beginning on the morning of 15 October with parallel sessions dedicated to paediatric care and insertion techniques.

Topics on the agenda include ultrasound-guided peripheral access, short versus long cannulas, PICCs and Midlines in paediatric patients, complication management and the role of training. Subsequent sessions will broaden the discussion to include the organisation of Vascular Access Teams, quality and safety indicators, and the development of patient-centred vascular access programmes.

On 16 October, the programme will also address criteria for selecting peripheral or central access, the needs of paediatric and geriatric patients, training in ultrasound-guided access, and appropriate device selection.

Overall, the programme reflects an approach to vascular access management that is moving beyond a focus on the individual device towards a more comprehensive assessment of the patient and the entire care pathway.

Numantec Presents Its Complete Vascular Access Portfolio in Vicenza

At its exhibition space, Numantec will showcase its complete portfolio of vascular access solutions, designed to meet a wide range of clinical and care requirements.

The portfolio includes peripheral IV cannulas, closed systems, long cannulas and mini-Midlines, as well as Midlines, PICCs, Ports, arterial catheters and haemodialysis catheters. This comprehensive offering covers different types of vascular access and reflects a key principle also highlighted in the scientific programme of the Congress: device selection should form part of a broader assessment that takes into account the patient’s characteristics, the prescribed therapy and the care setting.

An Opportunity for Dialogue Between Technology, Expertise and Clinical Practice

For Numantec, participation in the 2nd SIAV National Congress represents an opportunity to meet professionals who work with vascular access every day and to exchange perspectives on the needs that arise in clinical practice.

Technology, in fact, is only one part of the pathway. Appropriate device selection, professional expertise, training and attention to patient needs are increasingly interconnected aspects of vascular access management.

Numantec looks forward to welcoming visitors to its exhibition space in Vicenza on 15 and 16 October 2026, where the company will present its vascular access portfolio and engage with healthcare professionals on current needs and developments in clinical practice.
